Official free beach east of Kristiansand S. 

Drive E18 eastwards from Kristiansand and pass over the brigde Varoddbrua. At the eastern end of the bridge, turn immediately south, direction Søm. After exactly 1 km, turn right at a sign with the text "Friområde". The nude beach is straight ahead from the parking lot, the textile beach is to the left.

Sandy beach well suited for children all ages.
Conveniences provided: Toilet and dustbin.

SNF has now renewed the lease agreement with Kristiansand municipality until 2027.

Søm is a publicly approved outdoor swimming beach in the period 1.5 to 1.10. The rest of the year the same rules apply as for other beaches.

It is SNF that empties rubbish on Søm beach. Those visiting the beach are therefore encouraged to clean up after themselves and bring their own rubbish.
