Activities

Summer in Isefjær is full of exciting adventures.

The center is a good starting point for excellent opportunities for boating. It takes only 10 to 15 minutes to get to some of the most picturesque areas in the southern archipelago. And maybe the fish will bite? The area also provides excellent opportunities for canoing.

You can also go with your bicycle to nearby tourist attractions such as Dyreparken adn Bronseplassen, see below.

Otherwise, there are opportunities for hiking in virtually pristine areas.

Adventures –”To Make You Rich”

The Sørlandet region offers many adventures and things to see or do. Isefjærleiren is situated at a central location for many of these. Here are some examples:

  • Dyreparken  Zoo and Amusement Park is one of the most well known and popular attractions in Norway. A visit here is an almost “compulsory” element in the growing up of children, at least in the south part of Norway.
  • Bronseplassen, ”The Bronze Age Farm” is the place for old Viking culture and other historical activities. A big “Viking Fair” is arranged here every summer at around the middle of July.
  • TrollAktiv at Evje in the lower part of the Setesdalen valley is the right place if you are looking for adrenalin rushes and action. (Rafting, climbing etc)
  • M/B Øya and MS Maarten offers round trips and sightseeings in Blindleia – the beautiful coast strip between Kristiansand and Lillesand. This stretch of coast is known to be one of the most idyllic coastlines in the entire Norway.

Visit Kristiansand – The Tourist Information service for the region – provides a lot more information.

We wish you a pleasant stay at Sørlandet!
